Bogota work

In Bogota the pupils printed a banner, individual pieces and worked on digital imaging, including photography. It was the second time we worked in this school and the pupils really enjoyed working with processes they had never used before.

Manizales work

Anna and Maryanne were in Manizales for 3 days and ran workshops with pupils from a school in the Fatima district over 2 days.A large banner was created on the first day which included the pupils initials and showed the unique position and history of the city- perched on top of a mountain and in the middle of the Zona Cafeteria.The second workshop was held in the premises of CINDE who work closely with the university in Manizales and the theme for the day was ´Cities of the Imagination´.Pupils worked in groups creating their ideal city - its laws, values,culture ,rights and behaviour of its citizens.Each city designed a logo and printed a panel showing its identity.Group portraits were taken and one person from each city worked with Anna to create digital designs.At the end of the day each group presentated their work and we all celebrated the end of the project.

Alongside the print workshops, a filmaker from Medellin-Anna Christina Monroy is documenting the project. She has also been interviewing the students on their views, experiences and opinions in relation to living in their city.

Maryanne , Anna and Lula have been charging across the country combining workshops in schools, meetings with school and university staff and of course immersion in Colombian life.Family gatherings, weekend on the finca, tropical rainstorms, mucha aguardiente,Botero sculptures and scary rides on a cable car ´metro´.
In the schools in Bogota and Medellin we´ve printed large school banners,individual pieces, and made digital photos and collages on the theme of ´Ciudad y Ciudadanía´ - Cities and Citizenship
